A Day on the Mesa

July 1st
Brad is training for the Courage Classic Bike Ride. (a fund raiser for
The Children's Hospital)
We headed up to the Grand Mesa in order for him to train at elevation.

Beautiful day!  While he rode at 10,850 feet, I hung out at the numerous lakes on top.

View from the porch of the visitor's center.

When he finished, we drove to the Land's End Observatory,
which is the highest point of the Mesa. Then we drove the very winding
road (Land's End) 12 miles back to civilization. Stopped to take this pix
part way down.

So I failed at climbing Mount Garfield, but this shows that I can
stand on the edge of a very high cliff!!!! (Hang on tight, Brad)
