August 1st, 2012 VAIL PASS

After spending time with the little kids; the big kids headed back over
the mountains for a few days in Grand Junction.
On the way home, Brad treated Cherrie
and I to a great experience. He drove us to the top of Vail Pass and we rode down
into the town of Vail. (11 miles)

Views were spectacular!  There are 2 lakes hidden away up there that
are not visible from the interstate.

Pretty little streams with wooden bridges.

He met us in Vail and took us back to the top.
We then rode down eastbound to Copper Mountain!!!
(6.5 miles)

We had a great time!  Westbound trail was made up of
mainly roads with no motor vehicle traffic.  We were able to get
up to 30 miles an hour!

At the end of the ride!  We met our "sag wagon" and
had a great lunch in Frisco!
