Brad and I took a picnic and drove up to the Grand Mesa.
The scenery started out a bit hazy because of wildfire smoke drifting from Idaho.

By the time we got up around Powderhorn Ski Resort,
the air started to clear and colors started to pop!

We continued up and up until at around 10,000 feet, we were at Crag's Crest.
Stopped for lunch near one of the lakes.
Enjoyed a lovely bottle of wine that Kevin brought us
from England. Really nice flavor...very grapefruity!
