Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp- Memorial Day weekend 2013

Brad and I spent Memorial weekend at church camp!
It was a working weekend to prepare for summer campers. We
went with Dirk and Kathy Hogue.

It is a huge event which happens each year. Contractors get together with camp staff and decide on major projects that must be completed. Kathy and I began at the high ropes course which had been ruined by fire and wind. This is what we saw!!!  Tons of fallen trees that had to be sawed into small logs for fire.

It was a large project and 15 or so of us worked on it. Heavy lifting and really dirty!!!

Loaded countless pickup trucks and hauled the wood up to camp to be split for firewood.

YAY!  This is how it got cleared out so the new ropes course could be installed.

Two tired worker bees!

Day 2 - Kathy and I finished our work at the ropes course and headed off to paint Eagles Peak lodge.

Had to get a picture of this since I am very afraid of heights!  Yowzers!

Brad and Dirk were teamed up with a crew that put in a new window and replace a French door
in the main building.  (I think they chose well)

It was a terrific experience and we will surely do it again!!!
