We spent a lovely weekend in Glenwood Springs biking, eating,
and laughing with friends, Dirk and Kathy Hogue.

Prior to starting the trip, Brad and I went bike shopping!
I have been riding a Schwinn mountain bike with hybrid tires.
Easy enough to figure that I have not been able to keep up
with the road bikers.
Found this bike at a bike shop in town - used.
Just my size and price!

We left No Name parking lot and stopped at Hanging Lake for lunch.
(carried lunch in the pouches in our shirts, so my cheese sandwich
was just about "grilled")

Day 2!
Left Glenwood Springs at 9:18am on a shuttle bus up to
Snowmass Village. It was 34 degrees in Glenwood!

Slightly warmer after the 50 minutes bus ride up!!!
I think it was around 54 when we took off.
Of course this day was pretty much all downhill.
Lots of fun!

Thought this was a cute sign.
Actually there are signs on the trail saying that bikes must yield
to hikers and horses! Really???

This was taken off of that bridge.
Pictures just don't look the same as in person.
It was on this bridge that we decided this MUST
be an annual event!

This was taken from my seat at lunch on Sunday.
We rode off the trail into Basalt and enjoyed lunch
at the Riverside Cafe. YUMMY!
Make your own Bloody Mary bar!

Didn't really have any pictures of me....
So I took one myself!
I forgot my camera on this trip so these are
all phone pix!

So about 10 miles from Glenwood...this plant started becoming very
noticeable. We stopped for a water break and my eyes started
swelling up! Oh man! Last 10 miles were the pits.
I could barely see. So glad to get to the car and take out
the contacs. Still swollen today (a day later)
Need to find out the name of this beastly plant!
Awesome weekend.
Thanks Friends!!!
